Headsets are crucial in getting the upperhand against your opponent. If you've ever sneaked up against an opponent and they suddenly turn around a shoot exactly where you're standing before you've had the chance to shoot, then you know exactly how beneficial gaming headsets can be. Not only can you clearly hear footsteps but you'll also be better able to hear grenades drop and the bass boost offered by some models makes explosions and gunshots much more realistic.

Not only do headsets make gaming more immersive, but they also allow you to chat to your mates in-game, telling them where that sniper is camping, or giving team orders.
